GATE 2019(Graduate Aptitude Test of Engineering) is an online examination conducted across the country to test the candidates in various undergraduate subjects of Engineering, Technology or Architecture, and post graduate subjects of Science. This exam is a gateway for the students to secure admission in post graduate programs like M.Tech, M.E, M.S, direct PhD, etc. in higher education institutions that are centrally funded. GATE is jointly conducted by IISc and seven IITs. This year GATE will be conducted by IIT Madras, whose notification is out now and interested candidates may check the eligibility criteria and apply online from 01 September 2018 to 21 September 2018.

Note (Foreign Candidates) :-
1- should have completed or be in the final year of their Bachelor’s Degree (duration: at least 4 years) in Engineering/Technology (OR)
2- must have completed or be in the final year of their Post Graduate (Master’s) Degree (duration: at least 2 years) in any relevant subject in science.
Selection Process:-
Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of online Computer Based Test (CBT), to be conducted in the first two weeks of February 2019 (Final dates of conduction of exam will be declared around December 2018).
